A perfect Snow Day here in Stanardsville

WOW! We got so much snow this time!! It was such a nice way to end the winter; at least I THINK this will be the last snow. We lost power around 9:30 this morning and didn’t get it back until 8, but losing power every now and then can be so much fun! It brings back that thrill of entertaining and having fun by being creative or playing games without any other distractions. It is especially nice when you have beautiful snow outside to play in and look at, but it does come at a cost sometimes – if you lose power, you typically do not have heat or the ability to cook unless you have gas. This might be why we especially enjoy days like this, because this year we had both! We use a wood stove and we LOVE it!! We had grilled cheese, hot chocolate and warmth to go along with it. Playing with the kids today was SO much fun. Just seeing the excitement in the morning alone was enough. But what is a snow day without a little snowball fight, snowman and snow angel making, and snow cream? Well here at the Kibler house we just have to do them all! 🙂 But even with all the fun that snow brings, I can’t express how ready I am for spring. 🙂
